My message to you, new rose gardeners

Updated: Aug 9

My top reason for growing roses is to be able to cut them to make my own arrangements.

It's so therapeutic to care for them, witness how they thrive when they face diseases, pests and unexpected weather, yet manage to bloom no matter what they go through.

Many years into gardening, I've gained more insights than what I initally thought. If you have just started, I know it can be overwhelming and frustrating to deal with diseases, pests, heat, freeze and all.

Gardening is not something one has to know it all in order to start. You don't have to be an expert, you can start them stop if it's just too much.

You are allowed to try something that isn't in the book. You don't have to always follow the expert tips. Who knows you may find some new surprising discovery.

It's an experiment, a journey that involves learning as you go, some disappointments & frustrations, valuable lessons, smiles, and imperfections.

No rush, no high expectations..just be..By just enjoying the moments caring for your roses will bring so much peace & healing.
